I notice that time is a lot different now. I should have more than I do. I just don't know where it goes anymore.
I know that I am more tired lately but then I have a baby so that is normal. Lauren is 5 months now and I can't believe the time is just flying by. I had kind of hoped that by 5 months she would be sleeping better but oh well. She was sleeping better at 3 months. Now she goes to bed at 8 then gets up at 12, 3 and 6. When she gets up at 6 she is up and ready for the day. I had got a couple of days out of her that she slept till 7 but not anymore. I have had numerous people tell me not to feed her when she wakes up and that will teach her to sleep. All that does is make her cry and yell. I can't have her making to much noise cause that wakes Tony up and he needs his sleep if he is working. I have also noticed that when I get her out of her crib and feed her she eats like crazy so she is definitely hungry so I am just going to feed her when she wakes up. I wish she would sleep from 8-3 at least but oh well eventually she will.
She has learned a lot lately. She can roll over both ways now although she doesn't tend to roll onto her stomach but she can do it. She just doesn't like being on her stomach so I can understand why she won't roll that way. She can sit for a few seconds at a time and she likes being in the sitting position when we hold her. If we lay her down to much she tries to sit up. Tony and I have a bet going and he thinks she will be crawling at Christmas so we will have to see. Her head is now completely under her own control and we don't have to hold it anymore. She finally got her neck strength. I think this was what was holding her back from sitting more cause her head kept falling and pulling her over. She laughs out loud a fair amount now and i love hearing it. She also spends most of her time with something in her mouth. If there is no toy available she had her hand or fingers in there. I can't see any teeth yet but there must be something happening cause if she isn't chewing she is crying and once something goes in her mouth to chew on then she is happy. She got my finger the other day and it hurts she chews so hard. She does nap great most days and has about an hour and a half in the morning right after her meds at 9 then naps again around 2 for about 2 hours. We will just keep working on the night time sleeping and maybe at 6 months when we can give her some cereal then she will sleep longer. Until then I will just enjoy my time with her and when I am exhausted at 3am I just keep telling myself that she is the best thing that has happened to me and I love her so much that I just want to spend a little more time with her.
