14 months

I have a hard time thinking that Lauren is 14 months tomorrow. Where has the time gone. she is getting stronger and stronger every day and learning so much. She can now sit on her own and if she has pillows close by sits herself up using them. Last night she started pushing herself backwards from a crawling position till she is sitting. She can't crawl yet but she has started pulling herself forward almost in an army crawl. She says Momma, Poppa (although we keep saying dad she says poppa) Hi, bye, duck, dog and quack. She also occasionally says "what" when I call her name. She sleeps great and goes to bed about 8:30 and wakes up between 6:30-7. I wish she would sleep a bit longer but at least it is all night. She eats like a little pig these last few nights so she must be growing. She gets 800mls of her formula now and takes it in a sippy cup. No bottles except for if we are out and then it is the Nuby cup with the sippy top not a bottle top. It is just easier to take the formula with us so that it doesn't spill. She gets some when she wakes up in the morning then after her nap and before bed. Other than that she drinks water or some juice from a cup with a straw or a sippy. We weren't' going to give her juice yet but her dietitian said that she needs the calories because of her diet so we do now. She can drink just fine from a regular cup as well but it is just a bit messy and she can have the sippy where she wants it. She is also learning to use a spoon and fork but usually still ends up using her fingers cause she can get more in that way. It is hard without having protein to get enough to fill her up. I am excited that the summer is here and all the fresh fruit that she loves. We are going to Krause Berry farms tomorrow to get some strawberries for her. She has her nerve testing Thursday and I am a bit nervous because they have to sedate her for it but I know she will do just fine.

On a side note we move next Wednesday. We have 24 hours to do the move so it should be interesting that is for sure. Tony's parents both insist on helping and i am not looking forward to that. I like to set up my house my own way thank you very much and they don't understand that. They feel that Tony and I are still kids and they get to tell us what to do. I won't be online for a few days while we get the computer set up which could be hard for me cause I keep in touch with so many people by email. Hopefully I will have more time to update though after.
